Hall of fame  René Magritte (uliketeam) : Happy birthday !! Would have been 110 years old

Hall of fame  Zdzisław Beksiński (ink) : Great polish artist, in his works we can see his obsession of death, decay and destruction but also dark and beautiful dreamy visions, and his search for other, hidden dimensions of reality.

Interest  Gustave Courbet (leafar) : Great exhibition of his work currently in paris. I have a mix feeling about his work. My ratings for his painting are going from Hall of fame (l'atelier de l'artiste) to Hall of shame (Juliette Courbet or Champfleury). What storke me is the link of Courbet realism with photography (L'origine du monde or La Vague) ... that he managed to go behond in a few paintings like la femme à la vague. Veryu very interesting artist that can be compared by his changing and experiencing approach to picasso. Maybe explaining why my rating covers the all scale.
