Hall of fame  Up (OhTheMirth) : Two thumbs way up.

Like  Watchmen (flyintiger) : Finally, I saw the movie. I found it was a good show, better than expected, although screenwriter and director focus too much on the characters, plot and special effects and forget about what the graphic novel is all about. Well, of course, it's better to read it first but clearly the comic book is far superior to the movie, notwithstanding the great special effects.

Like  Dune (Jimsey) : I watched the 3 hour cut of the movie (don't know exactly which version it was) and it kept me interested quite well. I have not seen the original theatrical cut so I don't know if that's any more confusing. A difficult movie to like or grasp hold of on the first watch but I can only see my appreciation for the film grow as time goes by.

Like  The African Queen (Jimsey) : Well deserved Oscar for Bogey. And the rest of the movie is fine as well. ;-)

Like  X-Men Origins: Wolverine (Annya) : At least Gambit appears in a X-men movie!

Hall of fame  Hudson Hawk (FatCatPeter) : Some (including me) consider Hudson Hawk a cult classic - totally exaggerated action, nobody even pretends to act like anything in this movie is meant to be taken seriously. Each time I watch Hudson Hawk I realize that even after several years the story and the jokes have not become old.

Dislike  Death Proof (hybrisma) : Tarantino, the next time you decide to make a two-hour long film with conversation scenes only, please make it interesting and not all about girls pretending to be hot and independent, trying to show an awful lot of knowledge about cars and music. The only things separating this flick from a complete and utter disaster are Kurt Russell (who dies in the ending in the most pathetic way ever) and all those deaths, which you start craving for after three minutes of listening to all those chicks speaking. This is the female version of Reservoir Dogs gone wrong, so terribly wrong.

Dislike  Bangkok Dangerous (flyintiger) : Quite disappointed. I was hoping for more excitement from both the Pang bros. and Nicolas Cage himself. Very conventional film about a cold-blooded hitman that becomes a real human, discover friendship, finds love with a mute girl and can't do his job anymore. Of course, he has to pay the price: becoming the target.Nothing special or spectacular about this movie; Well, enough said.
