Vinyl

Vinyl Edit

(1965, United States)

( fr ) Vinyl (1965) is a black-and-white experimental film directed by Andy Warhol. It is an early adaptation of the novel A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess, starring Gerard Malanga and Edie Sedgwick, and featuring such songs as 'Nowhere to Run' by Martha and the Vandellas and 'Tired of Waiting' by The Kinks. This is often credited as Sedgwick's first appearance in film, although she in fact appeared in an earlier Warhol film. Sedgwick has no lines in the entirety of Vinyl. Vinyl was filmed unrehearsed and was also performed live in various stage productions.
