Not at all Sicko
Sicko pulls no punches while telling us about the failure of the healthcare system in America and the many lives that have been disadvantaged because of it. The stories are heartrending and the statistics presented are also unassailable. Moore's narrative tone alternates between hilarity and horror, while the facts are presented with a point of view that is distinctly anti-establishment. This kind of a documentary is an extraordinary power tool that is at once thought provoking and action induci [Read more]

Forget, please, conservatism. It has been, operationally, de facto, Godless and therefore irrelevant. Secular conservatism will not defeat secular liberalism because to God both are two atheistic peas-in-a-pod and thus predestined to failure. As Stonewall Jackson's Chief of Staff R.L. Dabney said of such a humanistic belief more than 100 years ago:[Secular conservatism] is a party which never conserves anything. Its history has been that it demurs to each aggression of the progressive party, [Read more]

GUEST COLUMN: NRA U focuses on 2nd Amendment
Post Your Comments Spamalot01 wrote on May 22, 2009 12:58 PM: Given his political affiliation, I am curious. Was any emphasis placed on the first half of the 2nd Amendment about well-regulated militias or was it focused entirely on the half that the current US Supreme Court decision seemed to be concerned with, that of the right to bear arms shall not be infringed. If it was the former, then all well and good. If it was the latter, then it's cherry-picking for political motivations. [Read more]
